Push Notifications are weather notifications and alerts, such as Severe Weather Alerts that are issued by the National Weather Service, sent to your devices' notification area when severe or dangerous weather is approaching your saved locations.
Navigate to the Push Notifications menu by tapping the WeatherBug icon in the upper left corner. In the Push Notifications menu, select the saved location you wish to receive notifications for. Note, WeatherBug only supports Push Notifcations for 1 saved location.
Dangerous Thunderstorm Alerts, or DTA's, provide advanced notification to the increased threat of severe weather moving into an identified area. DTA's are issued when there is a high frequency of lightning indicating the increased potential of severe weather. DTA's are available for almost all locations around the world.
WeatherBug's lightning alerts are in-app alerts that inform you when lightnings strikes are within 30 miles of your current or saved locations.
Grey - lightning alerts are not available for that location
Green - no lightning detected near that location
Yellow - lightning has been detected less than 30 miles from that location
Orange - lightning has been detected within 20 miles from that location
Red - lightning is within 10 miles of that location
